A view from space of EASI team member projects (thanks Google!) is now available for review.
The interactive map illustrates where team members have applied land and ecological asset valuation concepts or have supported eco-asset based land appraisals.
Viewers will have an opportunity to see thumbnail summaries, including relevant links, describing 40+ projects in the U.S. and Europe.
The map also illustrates where eco-restoration studies have supported incentive-based conservation and restoration of ecosystem services. This important theme connects back to the fundamental premise of the ecological economy — that natural capital should be measured in monetary terms in order to understand social priorities represented by supply, demand and willingness to pay for ecosystem service preservation, enhancement, restoration or creation (PERC).
